Sister Lindsey will initially assess your baby/child. She will check the weight and height and will look at previous growth. She will examine your baby/child and will answer any questions you may have.
She will administer any vaccines that are due and will discuss the vaccine programme with you.
She will help with any breastfeeding problems and endeavor to improve the breastfeeding for both mother and baby, with on going support.
If you have chosen to formula feed, Sister Lindsey will help to ensure the feeds are being prepared correctly and good hygiene is used.She will help with any problems related to formula feeding.
She will guide you with the introduction of solids and help you to provide a good, healthy diet for your child on an on going basis.
She will monitor your child's milestones and will discuss play and stimulation.
Sister Lindsey will also check that as a parent you have the support you need as parenting can be exhausting and overwhelming as well as wonderful!
Sister Lindsey is available at the Crompton Hospital in Pinetown on Tuesdays and Thursdays for consultation in her offices. The Crompton Hospital also offers other services to mothers and children.
